School Volunteering Opportunities
Grafenwöhr Elementary School is blessed with an active group of parent and
community visitors and volunteers. It is our belief that everyone involved
in the volunteer program benefits the school, teachers and, most importantly,
the students. Volunteers are valued supporters in all school settings,
especially the classrooms and Information Center. Many volunteers read to
and with students daily. The American Red Cross provides optional training for
volunteers. Parents and community members who wish to volunteer and/or
receive training may call the school office at 09641-83-7133 for further
information. |

A
volunteer in Class 4A who helps every Monday
and Wednesday said, "I enjoy helping
students strive to do their best. I enjoy
seeing them shine when they realize
they can
do something, and they did it themselves.
It is
fulfilling and gives me something to do
twice
a week.
It is just a good feeling all around."

Another
volunteer said, "I enjoy teaching children
what I know. To see their faces with smiles
and being happy. I had a great time with the
kids. Showing them how to make piñatas. I
hope they ask me again for a visit."
