All classes go to music class on a four day rotation.
Each class is forty minutes long. DODEA music standards
are addressed in classes.
Students are taught using the Orff philosophy. This way
of teaching encourages children to experience music at
their own level of understanding. Children are
encouraging learning in their natural environment of
play. Improvisation is encouraged to allow children to
explore the possibilities in music.
Your child has fun in music class but it is more than
just a treat! This year the third, fourth and fifth
graders are enjoying learning quite a few lessons on
Music Ace, a computer program that has been installed in
the computer lab.
